Board
The current board of directors of the Union of Academies consists of the President Prof. Dr. Christoph Markschies, Vice Presidents Prof. Dr. Reiner Anderl, Prof. Dr. Daniel Göske and Prof. Dr. Irene Dingel. The office of the Union of Academies supports the board in fulfilling its tasks.
General Assembly
The Union’s membership consists of the eight German academies of sciences and humanities. The general assembly of the Union receives and approves the report of the executive board, establishes the budget and also decides on the admission of new members and on any amendments to the statutes.
Scientific Commission

Strategy Commission
The task of the Strategy Commission is to advise the Board and Executive Committee of the Union of Academies on questions of governance and strategic development.
