Declaration of Accessibility

The Union of the German Academies of Sciences and Humanities strives to make its website and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) and the Disability Equality Act (BGG) by implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

This declaration applies to the present website of the Union of Academies as well as to its mobile application.

 

Status of Implementation

Currently, this website is partially barrier-free. The requirements of BITV 2.0 have been partially met.

To date, the following areas have been identified as not yet fully accessible:

  • The PDF documents offered for download are not created according to barrier-free standards.
  • Some of the embedded videos do not have subtitles.
  • Some heading elements are not consistent with the HTML structure.
  • A description of the website in plain language is currently still in progress.

The Union of Academies is working to find a solution to the barriers listed.
