Committee for Musicological Editions

The Committee for Musicological Editions was set up in 1976 to coordinate complete historical and critical editions of musical works and composers. The Committee is made up of the president of the Union, the president of the lead academy, one representative from each of the Union’s member academies, and the president of the Society for Music Research. The Committee also has the right to co-opt up to three musicologists who are not academy members. The task of the Committee is to coordinate long-term musicological projects. It reports on the results and requirements of the projects in its charge and also furnishes advice and expertise on musicological projects and editorial questions relating thereto.
