In 2019, the academies introduced the format of themed conferences. The goal of these interacademy events is to intensify the interdisciplinary dialogue between projects across 190 research units and to continually foster scientific cooperation with external partners. The provision of publicly available and sustainable research findings and the development of the Digital Humanities and methodical standards of content-related research projects were the central focus of the events. The themed conferences of the academies of sciences and humanities are part of the further development of structure and content in the Academies' Programme. They were coordinated by Anne Kern and Dr. Heiko Stullich in 2019.
