The cuneiform artifacts of the Iraq Museum Baghdad are of utmost importance for the knowledge of ancient Mesopotamia and constitute an important part of the cultural heritage not only of the Middle East but of all humanity; these objects are fundamentally endangered.

This interdisciplinary academy project will document around 17,000 cuneiform tablets, provide editions and analyses from a historical and linguistic perspective, and make them available online for the public and experts from various disciplines using the latest digital approaches.
