Committees and Commissions Scientific Commission for the Academies´ Programme The Union’s scientific commission is the central advisory body on all scientific questions concerning the Academies’ Programme. Each member academy delegates an expert to the scientific commission. Further members of the commission include the same number of representatives chosen by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation, DFG) as well as one non-voting representative of each federal state and one representing the federal government.
