International Human Rights Network of Academies and Scholarly Societies (IHRN)

The International Human Rights Network is an international network of 80 academies of sciences and learned societies that addresses human rights issues and related topics. The IHRN engages in supportive action for scientists and researchers subjected to incarceration or persecution for political or scientific reasons. It also supports the freedom and autonomy of national academies and learned societies.

The office of the IHRN is based at the National Academy of Engineering and the Institute of Medicine in Washington, D.C.
